There are currently opportunities in my lab for a full-time Research Technician in Molecular Microbiology for 13 months; and a part-time (0.5FTE) Research Technician in Molecular Microbiology for 3 years. If you’re interested please get in touch directly, when the advert is live a link will appear here. (start delayed due to COVID-19 pandemic, but interested candidates should still get in touch directly).

My work broadly focuses on using experimental evolution to understand fundamental questions concerning ecological and evolutionary processes. Specifically, I use microbial experimental evolution in combination with molecular and bioinformatic techniques to determine the evolutionary drivers of gene regulatory networks (GRNs). In addition, I use experimental evolution with cancer cell populations to understand how we might quantify the role of evolution by natural selection of clinically important cancerous traits. I am also an advocate of science outreach for young audiences.
